* * *

Most of the HintHunt fun requires brainwork & team thinking in the first place, however there are some smaller physical parts of the game – so it is advised to have at least one member in the team without mobility problems. The game rooms are spacious enough to access with crutches, however the surfaces and the game venue’s size are not proper for wheelchair users. One of our John Monroe rooms is located on the ground floor and is accessible without any stairs, while the two other game rooms are downstairs (no elevator is available to these rooms).

The game venue does play background music & also sound effects to alert the players about electronic hints. (There is no hearing assistance system during the game – therefore at least one member is advised to play without hearing problems.) The lighting level is medium in all game rooms & reception.

Please let us know of your specific requirements when booking your tickets in order to make best HintHunt experience.

Team Events

We’re glad you’ve found HintHunt and considering it as a team building activity! To ease your decision we’ve gathered the most important information below, but please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any further question!

* * *

Benefits

In this 60-minute instant activity we call HintHunt, team members have the opportunity to work on a mini escape project. During the game they quickly & playfully assign their own roles & responsibilities while indirectly practicing both individual & team thinking.

Teams need to truly live and breathe in union for that one hour to achieve their goal and full focus is both essential and guaranteed by the end of the project. And all this happens without any tricky instructors present!

How? Well, we simply lock up a handful of people (3 to 5) into a small space, that looks like just a normal room at first sight. However, it is a smartly designed environment where the captives need to really open their eyes and start combining their smarts to discover many hidden objects, codes, keys, riddles and clues that will help them complete their simple final goal: escaping the room in 60 minutes!

Basics

HintHunt has 3 game rooms at the moment and at least 3, but maximum 5 people can play in each room. Two rooms are identical (both called “John Monroe’s office”), the third one is different (this is called “The Zen Room”).

The effective game time is 60 minutes, however we need an extra hour around each game (for the instructions before the game & to prepare the rooms for the next round after each HintHunt).

Events

For office day outs we usually suggest rotating groups of 10 people who can play the same HintHunt challenge in parallel in the 2 John Monroe rooms. The atmosphere and excitement around the live competition seems to create the best experience.

The Basics

How many? What size? How old? When and why? How much?

If you’d like to learn more about group sizes, room dimensions, prices & age limits … this section must have your answer! However if you can’t find it, please don’t hesitate to drop us a line!

* * *

HintHunt Rooms

HintHunt has 3 game rooms at the moment. Two of those are identical ones (we call both “John Monroe’s Office”, they are brilliant for competition), plus we have a third different style challenge (called the Zen Room). The concept is the same for all (60 minutes escape challenge).

Regarding the size of the rooms - we’d like to keep the mystery around it, but none of them are too tiny or too big (imagine around 10 square meters with minimal furniture). Claustrophobic people have been playing HintHunt without a problem – but certainly we can instantly help, should any kind of emergency arise.

Team sizes

Minumim 3 – maximum 5 people can play in each room. We have tested both ends of these limits – in case of duos the game might become too complicated to enjoy and above 5 the place becomes too crowded, so please stick to the advised team sizes of 3, 4 or 5.

… what if it’s just the 2 of us?

We wouldn’t want to be too demanding about the team size, but it is good to know before booking that with only 2 people the game becomes a bit too difficult, which might spoil the fun part. Therefore we usually advise people to bring at least 3 members play HintHunt. Certainly, if you decide to take this risk and willing to pay the HH Minimum fee of £66 (off-peak), we’ll do everything we can to make the most of your game experience.

Gift vouchers

If you’d like to give the game experience as a gift to your friends or relatives, HintHunt’s gift voucher is the answer. If you’d like to buy one, please visit HintHunt’s booking page. The gift vouchers are valid for 6 months (more precisely: vouchers must be redeemed for a HintHunt game that takes place within 180 days after purchase date).

Age limits

The minimum age of HintHunt is 9 years if coming with parents or 15 in case no adults are around. The main reason of this limit is the complexity of the game. (It’s also good to know that expecting women have enjoyed HintHunt many times before – no scary stuff or physical excercise is expected during the game.)

Bookings

If you’d like to simply reserve one game, please use our booking system to find an appropriate slot.

If you feel like bringing more friends and would like to book two rooms at the same time, please turn to our booking system and look for parallel availabilities in two of our rooms. You’ll see a 15 minute time-shift between the timetables, but we can make sure both your teams start together if the bookings are under the same name. (Usually the double John Monroe game is the most popular one, spiced up with its competition atmosphere, but certainly you can combine one John Monroe and one Zen room booking as well, especially if the groups have several returning visitors.)

Timing

When the big day arrives and you come to HintHunt with your friends, families or colleagues – please try to arrive on time for the game. Games and instructions are rotating constantly and the reception has limited space so early birdies might need to wait outside, while late birds might cause delays for other teams. Which is not cool.

The effective game time will be 60 minutes, however we need a couple of minutes before each session to do the instructions.

Pricing

HintHunt ticket prices start from £17 per person (excl. VAT) and vary depending on team sizes and peak times. Please have a look at our booking site to find out more.

Please also be aware that HintHunt is a live event and therefore once the booking is confirmed, refunds, cancellations or reschedules are not accepted.

We’ve had a pretty busy month here at the new HintHunt HQ – with moving, expanding and certainly with lots of fun around playing HH! After a couple of long days and even longer nights we’re delighted to announce that our new place is open for all the curious friends, colleagues & family members who didn’t have a chance to try HintHunt so far!

Please have a look at the fresh booking section, which is updated with new schedules & availability. Here is the quick status for the 3 game rooms we have at the moment:

For our original 1st game room we’ve had a Groupon deal this spring. This deal expires on 4th September & before that date all of the available slots are fully booked by now. Unfortunately our agreement doesn’t allow to extend the deal in time or space, so we’d like to kindly ask you to ask for a refund via Groupon if you didn’t manage to book your game by now. Thanks for your understanding!

For first time HintHunters without a Groupon voucher: our 2nd room can be a good start – it still has free slots, even for August, please have a look at the available times & make your reservation before it’s not too late!

For returning guests: our 3rd room might bring some good news – it is opening on the 27th August & already open for bookings right now!

Games can be booked online at least 24 hours in advance. If you’d like to enquire about drop-in possibilities within the actual day, or considering buying a gift voucher, please contact us on the bottom of the page!
